Meet McDuff, a resilient and loving 3-year-old boy who needs our help. He was found wandering alone with a tightly padlocked collar embedded in his neck—a heartbreaking sign of his past mistreatment. Despite this, McDuff’s spirit remains unbroken.

Animal control and police were contacted, but without a microchip, justice may never come. However, we can still give McDuff the life he deserves—but we need a committed foster to make it happen!

✔ Friendly, eager to explore, and always ready to brighten your day
✔ Heartworm positive, but we will cover his treatment with a foster or adoption commitment

After seeing these two girls posted, Morgan and her fiancé knew that they could provide the best fo home for not one, but BOTH, of these girls, keeping them together - forever! It takes a special person to rescue and adopt, but an even bigger heart to adopt TWO! To the family - thank you for giving these girls the chance to live a happy and full life. We are so grateful.

To Kira and Opal - we love you so much sweet babies. You’ll never be abandoned or scared again. Welcome to our alumni family 🐾

One of our shelter partners reached out to us with a plea. There are two chihuahuas in the shelter (part of a bigger group that was found confined, living in filth and legally seized). These last two dogs that are left are simply terrified and are not thriving in the shelter environment. They need out desperately.

They are 2 both females-1.5yrs old and 7months old. They are so terrified at the shelter that they were hiding under their bed and had to be given a box instead. They have not been well socialized but are able to be handled and are more fearful than anything.

We are looking for fosters who can provide a stable and CALM environment for these two girls to feel safe in. Preferably someone who can be home more often than not and without children in the home. The foster(s) must also have patience as these dogs will need someone with patience and have most likely never been potty trained.

The Real Reasons Dogs and Puppies Get Returned to Rescues (Yes, These Actually Happened):

• “Not potty trained.” (A 24-hour return—on a puppy not even three months old.)
• “Too big.” (Again, a puppy—whose size was obvious before adoption.)
• “Strong-willed,” “pulls too hard,” “I don’t know how to teach leash walking.” (Returned after less than a month—because training wasn’t even attempted.)
• Put outside alone during a thunderstorm to potty, got scared, jumped the fence, and ran away. (Returned after 24 hours—because the adopter was upset about spending an hour looking for him and worried about what the neighbors would think.)

Every responsible rescue, including ours, prepares adopters for life with a pet. We ask about your commitment to training and handling behavioral challenges, and everyone swears they’ll be patient, they’ll invest the time, they’ll follow through.

And yet… so many don’t. Because it’s easier to return the animal than to put in the effort.

These dogs and puppies are sentient beings who rely on you to teach them, to guide them, to love them—especially when it’s inconvenient. If you’re not willing to put in the bare minimum of effort, please don’t adopt.
